Home      Advice from a Cat
This advice is for all the new kittens out there!

Bathrooms - Always accompany visitors to the bathroom. It is not necessary to do anything. Just sit and stare at them, they find it comforting.

Chairs and Rugs - If you need to be sick... get to a chair or bed quickly. If you cannot manage in time, get to an expensive rug. If there is no rug, clothing is good. When being sick on the carpet, make sure you back up so the vomit trail is as long as your human’s bare foot.

Walking - As often as possible, dart quickly and as close as possible in front of your human, especially: on the stairs when they have something in their arms, in the dark, and when they first get up in the morning. This will help with their coordination skills.

Bedtime- Always sleep on your human at night so she/he cannot move around. At least five times during the night walk over your human's face, this lets them know that you are ok and they should not worry.

Litter Box - When using the litter box, be sure to kick as much litter out of the box as possible. Humans love the feel of cat litter under their feet. If your human buys a higher sided box, pretend for a few days that you cannot get the litter over the sides. Then when your human has cleaned the house, go to your litter tray and energetically scratch cat litter out onto just vacuumed floor. Spread litter as far as you can.

Hiding - Every now and then, hide in a place where your humans cannot find you. Don’t come out for 3 hours under any circumstances. This will cause your humans to panic, which they love to do, they will think you are lost. When you do come out, your humans will cover you with kisses and cuddles and you will most probably get a treat.

Last but not least - Whenever possible, get close to your human’s face, turn around and present your bottom to them. Humans love this, so do it often.

PS: Don't forget the visitors, they find it very appealing too.
